LONDON: DALE MARSHALL & DANIEL LUMBINI

UPDATE 21/09
I visited Rook and Raven this afternoon and was totally in awe of Dale's body of work. The small "mixed media paper assemblages" downstairs were just as mesmerising as the larger canvas paintings upstairs.
Not sure it was a wise move by Daniel Lumbini to be included in this show, nice but quite overshadowed.
I have uploaded some photos to the artbleat facebook for your viewing pleasure.

 ‘COAST TO COAST’
DALE MARSHALL  &  DANIEL LUMBINI

Well tonight artbleat missed out on the opening night of the latest Rook and Raven show, but hold back the tears, we will be popping in on Friday to hopefully fall in Love with more of Dale's work and see what Daniel Lumbini has to offer. Camera in hand of course.
The exhibition runs until 31st October if you fancy it.

LONDON: THURSDAY P.V'S AND OPENINGS

Signal Gallery in the East have made it to their 5th Birthday and are celebrating with a group show of over 20 artists work. Names in the frame include C215, Guy Denning, Matt Small, Emma Tooth, Dale Grimshaw, SPQR, TRXTR, John Squire, Bael, Jef Aerosol and many more.
The private view is by invite only, but the show runs from the 14th - 29th September.
Having been wowed by previous Signal shows this is high on the artbleat recommendation list.

And so to West London. Dotmasters have a show of high class rubbish opening at Graffik Gallery on the Portobello Road.
Dotmasters say: "
A show of beautifully hand crafted stencil works that discover the beauty amongst our trash. Photo real renditions of humble bin bags & high class labels painted on a decades worth of bin and skip raiding. Up-cycled objects, grannies cushions, nothing avoids the Dotmasters’ magpie eye. Mixed media assemblages pop off the wall in a faux 3D skid row tableaux. The frames are off, and work spills from the walls like the piles of trash they depict."
There is also a  give away of a ltd run of 13 screen prints for the first 13 people through the door on the 13Th, if you are lucky.
The show runs until 28th September, fingers crossed I will have some professional looking photos to slap up on the artbleat facebook over the weekend.

LONDON: RELIGIONIS VIOLENTA

I gave you London dwellers fair warning a few weeks ago that this would be a date for your diary. It's now nearly upon us.
KGB Projects is due to open it's doors, or the doors of the London West Bank Studio, to their Religionis Violenta exhibition.
The exhibition is formed around the theme of the title, Latin for Violent Religion, and includes 31 artists interpretations of just that. There is a sprinkling of artbleat's friends and favourites in the line up and many more artists that I I'm looking forward to seeing and I hope will impress.
The Opening night is on Thursday 6th Sept and the exhibition will be open to the public from Friday 7th Sept to Tuesday 11th Sept.
The beer on the PV (now this is worth the entrance fee alone) is supplied by London Microbrewery Moncada, who are responsible for the wonderful Notting Hill Beers (I'll have a case of amber for the blatant plug please).
I am drifting around the midlands as I write this, but hope to be back in time to photo document the opening.
There is a great little interview with Gonny and Kane HERE on the Rooms Magazine website.
See you down there.
