LONDON: MONIKER ART FAIR

It's Frieze week in London this week, so I'll be avoiding Regents Park and heading to east London for the combined Moniker and The Other Art Fair event. The only fair this week that was totally ignored by London listings mag Time Out (it's always been rubbish anyway, well since they nicked one of my photos that is) promises a lot, so I'll let you know if it delivers.
Galleries showing include Jealous, Hang-Up, Stolen Space, Souled Out Studios to name but four. There is a cheeky peek at some of the works to be unveiled below including a gorgeous 11 colours screen print by Rowan Newton.
Jealous will be screening a different show print each day from Deedee Cheriel, Mark Powell, Ryan Callanan and Amanda Marie.
The fair runs from 16th to 20th October at the Truman Brewery just off Brick Lane.
You can see the full line up HERE

That's it really, I will have my camera on hand and post up the results on Friday (fingers crossed)

COLLIN VAN DER SLUIJS

OK, It's like this, Collin Van Der Sluijs has a few lovely little pen, ink and acrylic pieces available for only €90.00 each. I think they are wonderful but I already own a few pieces of his work so I'm not allowed to spend the family beer money on them this week.
Just thought you might like 'em.
Go HERE for a look.

JORAM ROUKES: FIVE SCOOPS PRINT

1XRun have dropped a print by Dutch master and friend of artbleat Joram Roukes.
Well I say friend, we have shared a few beers and a bit of banter at his London shows over the last few years, introduced by this gorgeous lady from the Netherlands that does amazing things with glass weapons, but that's another post.
Five Scoops is an edition of 50 for only $60, you won't be able to pick up a print from him again at this price.
Measuring up at 17" X 20" this is an archival pigment print on 300gsm fine art paper.
Go HERE and register if you haven't already, and be quick they won't last the hour out.

LONDON: JIMMY CAUTY, THE AFTERMATH DISLOCATION PRINCIPLE

Jimmy Cauty and loads of little people at Arch 402 in east London.

NEW YORK: BANKSY BETTER OUT THAN IN

UPDATE: 02/10
...And it's gone already....

So the Banksy show has begun. Described as "An artists residency on the streets of New York" Banksy will endeavour to decorate the streets of the big apple for the month of October without getting caught. Sounds like fun, even more so if he doesn't play it safe and stick to legal walls.
The first piece has gone up in Chinatown, Manhattan and is accompanied by a free phone number that enables the viewer to listen to a cheesy audio guide.
You can hear this also on the banksyny website, this is also where I will be nicking my photos from unless any readers want to sent me their photos to (harry@artbleat.co.uk) in return for a thank you and a name check.
