DAIN: STREETS OF SOHO PRINT

Saw this on one of those forum things on the internet, good job really as I love a bit of Dain, sadly there is no website that I am aware of and no handy mailing list for the NYC based artist. It's a get lucky thing with Dain prints.

Streets of Soho is a 2 colour screen print with 5 added colours hand applied with paint which I would guess makes every print a little different.

We had a look around the Out Of The Gutter exhibition at London Wall last night.

God it's good to discover and be impressed by not just one but a few artists that have not been on the radar. This is a recommended group show if you are in the area, but be quick about as it's only on for three days.

I will endeavour to post some photos later today so you can judge for yourself

PAUL INSECT: WATCH YOUR BACK

P.O.W have dropped the first new print by Paul Insect for a couple of years.

Watch Your Back is a gorgeous 9 colour lump of PINS madness.

Jef Aerosol has a show opening on the 29th January. Private Viewing can be had on Tuesday 28th at French Art Studio in Gloucester Road. London.

JOSEPH LOUGHBOROUGH: COPPER STUDIES

The effervescent but dark soul that is Joseph Loughborough has just released, without telling anyone mind, a beautiful series of copper leaf pieces.

 Copper Works consist of 6 copper leaf and charcoal drawings on 25cm X 25cm Hahnemuhle 170gsm paper. These will set you back £175 plus postage and are available HERE.

So if you are struggling to find a Valentines Day gift for that slightly weird girl who always dresses in black but has a lovely smile, then this could just be what you are looking for.

There are also a few Graphite studies that have appeared online as well that are equal in their beauty and only £120.

Shepard Fairey will be dropping a new print titled Slice it Up on Thursday 9th Jan.
I don't usually feature Obey but I quite like this in an early USA 1980's new wave kind of way.

LONDON: SABER. THE UGLY AMERICAN

I have to say I really enjoyed Sabers show on Thursday after not knowing what to fully expect.
 The gallery is split with the wooden works upstairs, which in my humble opinion are the better and the canvas gallery works downstairs.
What made it a little more special apart from the free beer that is, was Saber being there from the off and making himself available to chat to anyone that wanted to hear his take on things.
Prices were well out of my range so I have half an eye on the forthcoming print release that should be based around the Union flag works and as the man is currently over here, lets hope for a bit of hand finishing.

The Outsiders in London is the venue for the first show of the year to flash the artbleat radar.

Already exhibited in Newcastle "The Ugly American" comes down south which is a move Outsiders should do more often.(In both directions)

Saber describes himself as a Graffiti artist and Painter and uses his abstract work to "expose the cracks" in the American culture that in his words is "so self centered and self preserved"

The Private view is on Thursday 9th January and the show runs until 15th February.
