2CENTS SHRAPNEL AND A CRACKING PRESS RELEASE

I know I have been a bit slack on my posts recently and I fully aim to make amends in the next few days when I am at peace with my PC, there has been loads going on this week I need to shout about and I will.
However until then here is a nice print from 2cent.
As luck would have it the print is much better than the press release which is pasted in full under the image, while it is reasuring to know that 2Cent created this image "Using pictures and shapes as a DJ would use breaks and loops" I cant see how it helps to know that someone in the 2Cent camp expects us to believe that the said image is of "a child in Halloween make up which evokes the feeling of nostalgia growing up in an uncertain time and using simple things to escape the boredom of day to day life" but if this is your take on it then I can only apologise for playing the doubting Thomas.

2Cents is back with a new print after creating 5 sold out editions with Malcolm McDowell for A Clockwork Orange. Usually using only black and white in his palette of silhouetted imagery this brand new 4 color print titled "Shrapnel" samples recognizable images and abstract shapes to create a rich symmetrical compositions. Using pictures and shapes as a DJ would use breaks and loops 2Cents takes from what surrounds him in Los Angeles, the Internet, and his day to day travels short and far. "Shrapnel" is a 4 color print based around an iconic image of a child in halloween make up which evokes the feeling of nostalgia growing up in an uncertain time and using simple things to escape the boredom of day to day life.

LONDON: DAN BALDWIN AT SIGNAL

Signal Gallery are hosting Dan Baldwin from Thursday 1st July (6pm-9pm for drinks and chat) until 17th July at their snug but very beautiful gallery in Curtain road EC2 (that's a 5 minute jog from Old Street Tube, but you knew that right?)
If you are around the area during the day on Thursday you may catch Dan putting the finishing touches to a piece on the Signal Gallery outside Wall.

There will be a very ltd print release (the image on the flyer above) from the show titled Summer Lovin' (life begins).The edition size is 25 and they will be giclee, with individually applied silkscreen layers and hand applied gold leaf.
The image size will be 60 x 60 cm.
Until the 31st July they will be available exclusively through the gallery for the special rate of £400.( After that they will priced at £500)

RUSS MILLS SHOW AT RED PROPELLER

Russ Mills looks to have lost his Byroglyphics tag for his latest solo show at Red Propeller Gallery.
This has just gone live online and there are some lovely pieces showing a marked change for the better in his work, and some very affordable prices. There is also a LTD timed print that has just dropped but strangely the image used is not a patch on the show work.
