Have a look at these, Max Beales has some rather lovely acrylic and spray paint works for sale HERE.

JOSEPH LOUGHBOROUGH: CHARCOAL WORKS.

Joseph Loughborough has a collection of 12 beautifully dark charcoal drawings available HERE.
The Gesture series consists of 12, 25cm X 25cm works on paper, and for the more than reasonable price of £150 each delivered.
Joe's charcoals are a wonder to behold and even though these are small in size the emotion they portray to the viewer is incredibly vast. So much better than a print when you can have the raw delicate work staring at you from your study wall, don't you think?

PHOTOS: MARK POWELL AT HANG UP GALLERY

Another incredible body of work from Mark, his skill with a plain old household Biro really needs to be seen with the naked eye.
But if you can't get down to the six week show at Hang-Up Gallery then there a few photos on

BARBARA STEINBERG: AGE AND MEMORY

I paid a visit to the opening night of Barbara Steinberg's Age and Memory exhibition at Signal Gallery on Thursday, not the usual thing to float my boat, although I do have a growing soft spot for a bit of abstract, but Signal always throw a top bash and make you feel incredibly welcome with it. Anyway I came away converted, beautiful work from the 70 year young painter, what struck me more than anything was the colours Barbara used to created the works, not obvious ones to me but beautifully balanced and incredibly pleasing.
There are a couple of photos below and loads more on the artbleat facebook HERE.
BUT... the point of this post is to direct you to an ebay auction, HERE where Barbara and Signal have kindly donated one of the canvases from the show to raise a bit of CASH for the Alzheimer's Society.
The painting (below) Brightness Falls, is an oil on canvas and measures 107.5cm X 113.5cm.
C'mon get your wallets and purses out.

LONDON: MARK POWELL OPENS AT HANG-UP GALLERY

Mark Powell's new body of work opens with a Private View tonight (Friday 26th) at Hang-Up Gallery in Stoke Newington High Street. 6pm-9pm
Mark works on vintage documents and only in biro, so there is no margin for error in creating his beautifully aged portraits. The images below give you an idea but to truly appreciate his work you need to see it in the flesh, old and wrinkly as it is.

HARLAND MILLER: HAVING A LAUGH?

Where as I don't usually like to comment on things I don't personally like, this is after all just a blog and not a commercial venture.
I thought I would comment on the new Harland Miller Deckchairs.
I Like Harland Miller, I understand that his work has reached a premium, and that is to be expected once an artists work takes off, market forces and all.... but........ £400 for a sodding deckchair, need I even mention that they are in an edition of ONLY 500 per each of the 16 designs, and you have to pay for delivery on top.
Are you having a laugh Mr Miller?
