MIKE MARCUS

Street artist and photographer Mike Marcus has started a flickr group Street Art London relating to street art in and around London surprisingly enough. What sets this group apart from the others is that Mike has organised a weekly raffle draw where you could win pieces of donated art all in the name of charity.
This weeks piece is an A/P of Mikes own Untitled print, next week is a Gemma Compton piece. Tickets can be purchased at £1 each by Paypal to streetartlondon@googlemail.com. There is no limit set on the amount of tickets available and each individual can purchase as many as required by donating multiples of £1.
For more details and information on the Charity that Mike has picked go HERE
If you do not win but still wish to purchase a print, they can be obtained from Jealous Gallery.

The process of creating this particular image is as follows:
1) The whole paper is coated with 2 layers of black Montana Gold spray paint.
2) The white background of the image is made with 2 layers of hand brushed emulsion paint and allowed to dry.
3) The black layer of the boy is stencilled on, again using Montana Gold spray paint.
4) The white layer containing the camera, the boys arms, and the detail in the hair is then applied using a 2nd stencil.
5) The flair of the flash is hand sprayed on freehand.
