LONDON: BEN OAKLEY AND ASBOLUV

Facebook Event page until I can get more up.
P.V. Friday 22/11/2013
Greenwich London

Press Release
"Ben Oakley Gallery is proud to present the last of its two man shows of 2013. ‘Cut to the Bone’ features exceptional new work by Asboluv and Ben Oakley, both artists who delight in a touch of provocation here and there. This show does not disappoint! A multi media experience full to the hilt of powerful yet intricate new works.
Asboluv produces images of beauty and decay. His iconic Afro-girl signature flows throughout his work. He plays with light and dark to create images that touch the heart and disturb the soul. As well as the gallery his work can be seen on the streets and in derelict spaces of the UK.
Oakley has produced an eclectic mix of subversive, provocative, sculptural works alongside some stencilled hand tinted photographs, taking his work into another fine new direction, all linked with his to be expected thread of dark humour and inventiveness."

DALE GRIMSHAW: WONDERLAND

I've had this sitting in draft for a few days and eager to get it out. This incredible street piece by Dale Grimshaw is entitled Wonderland. It's from his "2Worlds" theme. You can find this in London on Clifton Street EC2A, Beautifully formed from spray paint and sweat.
When quizzed Dale explained:
"I wanted something that represents an innocence, organic, age-old custom, "primitive" even, spiritual -  opposed to the commercial, corporate monster of a machine that is Disney, along with other references to western/USA culture

Below is the piece on the same wall the Dale painted over when creating wonderland, if you fancy a look at Dale's website then you can go HERE or if you are more of a facebook fiend then HERE.

Just one more.. Different wall but still in London, not sure if this is still there though.
