JUNGIL HONG: TIGER AT TINY SHOWCASE

As with all of Jungil Hong's work I can't pretend to understand it. I just like it, and this latest print is no different. Tiger is from an edition of 300, it was released yesterday and already half are gone, and with the profits going to charity if you needed any more of a push. "Tiger" is a seven-color screen print on an archival natural white 280gsm print making paper. It was printed in Providence by The Head Light Hotel and Jungil Hong.
The image measures roughly 19" wide by 13" tall. With border, the print measures roughly 22" wide by 16" tall.
Cost is $40 plus shipping.

Laz /Outsiders, will be dropping two prints in a very limited run from 4pm UK time.

Lazarides hosts the opening of two major shows tonight and luckily they are in walking distance of each other.

The mighty Faile are at Rathbone Place while the colourful Kelsey Brookes brightens up Greek Street.

DAVID WALKER: GOSSIPS AS GOOD AS GOSPEL

I'm pretty surprised to find this little print is still available this morning. Part of the Brooklynite Gallery's snub nose series this is a David Walker hand finished archival giclee print on cold press 315gm paper, in an edition of 150 and measures up at a tidy 7.5"X6.6".

Each print has been hand signed numbered and stamped in the UK, then shipped out to Brooklyn only to be shipped back to you for the princely sum of $25 plus $5 shipping.

RAY RICHARDSON: GREENWICH

I missed out on blogging the opening of Ray Richardson's show so the least I can do is shout about the closing. "Londons No. One" ends it run at the Ben Oakley Gallery in Greenwich, South London on 29th Oct. There is a special evening planned at the gallery for Thursday the 27th with "A Live Bluesy Feel"
I will aim to get along and join in the merriment and try to snap a few photos while I'm there.

MR BRAINWASH: OPERA GALLERY LONDON

Mr Brainwash has a rather modest show opening at Opera Gallery in New Bond Street, London this week, and depending on who you ask at the gallery the show is totally sold out already, or there are a few pieces left.
The show opens at 10am on Thursday 6th Oct with a buyers preview on Wednesday night, that I have no chance of getting into, but luckily managed to have a pre-preview tour of the show this afternoon, complete with camera.
Mr Brainwash will be in attendance on Wednesday and will be creating an installation of some sort outside the gallery in the afternoon.

PEETA: CONFIDENCE

1XRUN have just released a print by Peeta titled Confidence. I knew nothing about this artist before receiving the 1xrun mailout so a quick read up on their website tells me:
"Manuel di Rita is a young Italian artist born in a small town near Venice (Italy). He started to write Peeta since the beginning of the 90's and soon became a well-known writer within the Italian graffiti scene, also thanks to his partnership with the Paduan EAD crew"
So there you go, you learn something new every day. Confidence is a time limited print described as 13 x 18.5 in Archival Pigment Ink on 330gsm Cotton Paper and limited to an edition of 50 signed and numbered.
