Its that time of the year when Brighton plays host to The Beautiful and The Canned, with work already underway to beautify this lovely part of the south coast this years event looks like it is going to produce some even more impressive pieces than the last.
Keep an eye on the Wet Paint Productions Blog for up to date info and work in progress photos. This quote from the organisers should be enough to get you packing your toothbrush:
"TB&TC 2010 will showcase in the region of 50 artists painting live across several locations in Brighton City centre over the weekend of 8/9 May. Artists include Remi/Rough painting a 20 foot plus tall wall in Church Street. Inkfetish, Mishfit, Kev Munday, DBO Ponders and Sinna painting the entire side of a house. Snub 23, Foundry, Avian Security, Dan Kitchener and Vodker painting a 30 foot building using a cherry picker. Blam, Smug0ne and Estum will be painting a burner near the station and we have many more artists painting several locations in the city across the two days. This includes a specially built 'Paint Box' installation 24 ft x 8 ft squared in Jubilee Square next to Myhotel where exclusive canvases, prints and original artwork will be for sale including Argentinian artists such as Run Don't Walk. The event is a great opportunity to see street artists at work and this year is helping to raise both awareness and money for national homelessness and housing charity Shelter"
